Campus news
July 15, 2005...
The Beatitudes Campus has introduced a new name to
refer to all of the redevelopment efforts and
benefits. That name is Promenade at the
Beatitudes Campus. This name symbolizes the
enhanced lifestyle that the expansion will bring to
all campus residents, with the opportunity to share
good times in the New Town Plaza, or to take a
leisurely stroll on tree-lined paths through the
beauty of eight Beatitudes Gardens. CEO Peggy
Mullan sums it up as follows: “The addition of a
new name during these marketing efforts will share
that there is something new and exciting happening
here. In choosing this name, we sought to maintain
the current awareness and strong reputation of the
Beatitudes Campus, while generating fresh appeal to
potential new residents.”
June 30, 2005...
During the month of June, the redevelopment of the
Beatitudes Campus received some great press
coverage. In the June 3rd issue of
The Phoenix Business Journal, proposed plans for
the $83 million dollar renovation were outlined,
which include the addition of 263 independent-living
residences. To design the master plan, the
Beatitudes selected architect Orcutt/Winslow
Partnership AIA. The selected general contractor,
Weitz Company, also brings extensive experience on
similar construction projects. A June 25th article
in The Arizona Republic included an
interview with President and CEO Peggy Mullan, and
featured candid comments from several Beatitudes
Campus residents.

pleased to announce a master planned expansion and
redevelopment of its 22-acre campus, located off
West Glendale Avenue, between 15th and 19th
Avenues. The $80 million planned expansion and
redevelopment is designed to meet the changing
lifestyle demands and trends in senior living, while
strengthening the campus’ mission to provide seniors
a faith-based community that meets their physical,
social, emotional and spiritual needs. This is the
40th anniversary of the senior living
community, which is an outreach ministry of the
Church of the Beatitudes. The planned redevelopment
of the Beatitudes will add new residences to the
