Open Enrollment starts on October 15, 2011 through December 7, 2011 for Medicare Advantage Plans and Prescription Drug Plans. Changes made to these plans will become effective January 1, 2012.

During the Open Enrollment period, Medicare beneficiaries will be able to enroll, dis-enroll or change their Medicare Advantage Plan or Prescription Drug Plan. If you have traditional Medicare and Supplemental Insurance, you will need to review your Medicare Prescription Drug Plan to make sure it still fits your prescription drug needs.

A representative from Dean & Associations is available to answer questions or help you evaluate your current situation. Don’t hesitate to call with questions. In Arizona, we can be reached locally at 602-264-6000. Our toll free number is 800-663-0611.

The Medicare and You 2012 guide is another good resource for information. Here is the link: http://www.medicare.gov/publications/pubs/pdf/10050.pdf.
